Dear Broker
We are writing to let you know about updates to our Motorchoice and Homechoice policy.
Update on Aviva Motorchoice policy
The policy changes are effective for private motor new business and renewals from the 1st April 2024.
We will include a Notice to Policyholder in the customers renewal packs to outline the new policy wording and changes to policy terms and conditions. Click HERE to see a copy of the Notice to Policyholder.
The changes include:
- Electric vehicle charging point cover, up to €600, is added.
- Electric vehicle out of charge recovery wording is added to Section 7 - Breakdown Rescue.
- Medical expenses limit is increased to €200.
- Personal belongings limit is increased to €500.
- PC70 - Specified trailers cover for private cars only is removed.
- Cyber and Sanction wording is added.
- Cancellation for Direct Debit Default wording is included.
- Some sections have wording updated for clarity.
Update on Aviva Homechoice policy - IPID
We currently ask that you manually include a copy of the Homechoice IPID (Insurance Product Information Document) in the customers Aviva home documentation packs for both New Business and Renewals.
However, with immediate effect you will no longer need to do this.
The HomeChoice IPID will now automatically form part of the Brokers HomeChoice new business documentation packs from the 2nd February 2024.
In addition to this, the HomeChoice IPID will also be included in all Home Renewal policy document packs with a renewal date on and after the 1st of April 2024.
If you have any questions in relation to these changes, please contact your Aviva BDM or the National Personal Lines Team on 1850 666 555 or pi.ireland@aviva.com
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
