Consumer Insurance Contracts Act (2019)

All you need to know

Supporting brokers with the Consumer Insurance Contracts Act 2019 (CICA) and the additional requirements which come into effect from 1st September 2021.

This legislation is designed to provide increased protection for our consumers and will apply to the September renewals sent out in early July and to new business incepted with Aviva from 1st September 2021.

To help navigate these new requirements, we have written a comprehensive Guide to CICA, which outlines some of the important changes brought about by CICA and details your responsibilities as an intermediary of Aviva products.

We hope that this will save you time and make it easier for you to understand the changes made to our systems, processes, and documentation to comply with the requirements of CICA. Please read this Guide carefully and make sure that you comply with the changes and requirements outlined.
